Which word describes you better; routines or flexibility?
It's hard to say. It's like trying to figure out if you're a J or a P in MBTI.
I identified as a P person my whole life. As a Pisces rising, I was very much floating through life. From all those disorganized sleeping schedules to the decisions made solely by feelings, everything screams a spontaneous artist.
Allow me to show some of the examples of my previous life habits. I might sleep at noon, only to wake up around midnight. Sometimes, I would start creating (a story, model, art, etc.) at night. Surprisingly, ideas kept coming around three or four in the morning. I kept going and realized that I was tired around nine or ten in the morning. Sometimes, when I was committed to finishing a project, I might be at it for days without sleep.
That's how "flexible" I was with my sleep. How does that affect my body?
I used to float around the room with a mind fog. "Aww... sounds cute," you might say. Think again.
I used to always lock myself outside the house. I'd forget my key in the room and lock both the doors to my room and the house only to realize that I didn't have the key with me. Sometimes, it happened when I was late for class or work. Sometimes, it'd be when I left my room temporarily to retrieve my takeout. Then, you'd see me sitting at the staircase with faded shorts and pajamas tee, munching on my takeout while waiting for my housemate to come home.
There were times when I forgot important things like my work uniform. I'd bring the uniform in from the balcony where I left it out to dry. I'd throw the shirt on the bed and put the hanger in my bag. There were also those few times when I froze my phone in the fridge.
There's too many examples of the troubles caused by my lack of sleep. I'll stop here before this post turns into a book.
I'll talk about my newly acquired routines next time. Till then!
